  • North Stars Annual Kickoff Breakfast Wednesday September 17, 2014 - 7:30 am, Civic Centre
    This is the date for the North Stars Annual Kickoff Breakfast at the Civic Centre. The Battlefords North Stars along with North West Hockey Development Association will be providing pancakes, sausage, ham, fruit, coffee and juice. Admission is $60 for a table of 8 or $8 per person. The new members of the coaching staff will be introduced and the roster for start the season will be announced. Also, the North Stars will be unveiling their new home and away jerseys for the season.   • Prairie Sculptors' Association Exhibition Reception Thursday September 18, 2014 - 5 pm - 9 pm, Chapel Gallery
    The Chapel Gallery will be hosting a Reception on Thursday, September 18 for The Prairie Sculptors' Association Exhibition that is currently on at the gallery. Come and see the exciting and imaginative pieces created by the world-class artists who have sculptures of various mediums in this exhibition. Artists will be in attendance. Free Beer and Wine. Admission is Free. Donations are Appreciated. The Chapel Gallery is located at 891-99th Street in The Don Ross Centre.
  • North Stars Home Game Friday September 19, 2014 - 7:30 pm, Civic Centre
    Finally, the day we have been waiting for - the home opener for the 2014-15 Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League season. The North Stars will host their rivals from Kindersley in the first of eight regular season head-to-head games. Puck drop is 7:30 p.m. at the Civic Centre. This night will include raising the 2013-14 Kramer Division Championship banner, a kickoff smokie on a bun special in the Prism Cable Hot Stove Lounge and Valley Ford is the game-day sponsor for the first game of the season.

  • 2nd Annual Fall Festival & Car Show Saturday September 20, 2014 - 11 am - 4 pm, City Hall parking lot
    Farmers market, Flea Market, Trade Fair, Car Show, Inflatables, Face Painting, Balloon Creations, Harvest Photo Scene, Pumpkin Decorating. All located between 12th and 13th Ave on 101st Street and in Central Park. Thanks to our lunch sponsor Innovation Credit Union a FREE lunch will be served between 11:30 - 1:00 (depending on food quanitites). Come out and enjoy this free, family event!   • Terry Fox Ride Saturday September 20, 2014 - 12 noon - 6 pm, Hidden Meadows Ranch
    At Hidden Meadows Ranch – 5.7 km west on Sunshine Road. Turn left at the Hidden Meadows Ranch sign. Registration starts at 12:00 noon. Pledge sheets and online donations are available at www.terryfox.org. Ride starts at 1:00 PM. Wagons and horses welcome. This will be approximately a 6 mile walk only ride through pastures and on sand roads with a stop at Eight Mile Lake. BBQ to follow the ride at about 4:00 PM, jointly sponsored by Battlefords Quarter Horse Club, HMR Sport Horse Club, and B&D Meats. Donations accepted to Terry Fox Foundation – everyone welcome!

  • 10th annual 306 Thanksgiving Throwdown Saturday October 11, 2014 - 1 pm - 4 pm, Freedom Skate and Snow
    Freedom Skate and Snow sponsored snowboard rail jam held in the parking lot beside Freedom at 1318 100th St. North Battleford. Food, music and an outdoor shop. BBQ provided by 242 youth group.
